Option PCR

API Enterprise

Region-wide daily put/call ratios. One request returns the put/call ratio, by open interest and by traded volume, for every optionable US listing in the requested region - the same daily reading the single-stock PCR timeseries endpoint serves, one row per listing.

Built for enterprise consumers: the response is uncharged (no credits), and every row carries the full instrument-identity block so it can be joined straight onto your own security master.

Available Data Points:

  • Date: The trading date the readings are for. (YYYY-MM-DD format).
  • Company: The name of the company issuing the security.
  • Ticker: The ticker symbol associated with the security.
  • Operating MIC: The operating Market Identifier Code of the security.
  • MIC: The Market Identifier Code (MIC) for the traded security.
  • ISIN: The International Securities Identification Number for the security.
  • FIGI: The Financial Instrument Global Identifier.
  • Share Class FIGI: The Financial Instrument Global Identifier for the share class.
  • Ortex Company ID: Unique id for a company.
  • Ortex Security ID: Unique id for a security issued by a company.
  • Ortex Tradable item ID: Unique id for a listing of a security.
  • Ortex Tradable item main indicator: Indicates if the trading item is the main trading item for the security.
  • Tradable Item Currency: The currency of the tradable item.
  • Exchange Country: The country location of the exchange.
  • PCR: Put/call ratio for the date, calculated from open interest.
  • PCR Volume: Put/call ratio for the date, calculated from traded volume.

Region and date

Coverage is US-listed options only. Use region to select the universe (defaults to US; ALL or any region that includes the US also works; a region with no US listings returns 400 invalidRegion) and date to select the day (defaults to today). Each listing reports its own most recent reading on or before that date, looking back at most ten days, and every row states its own date - so a listing whose latest reading is a session behind still appears, dated to that session. Listings with no listed options in the lookback do not appear. Identity columns (company name, ticker, ISIN) are the listing's current values.

Not the PCR sentiment snapshot

This is the stored daily ratio across every expiry. The single-stock PCR sentiment endpoint is a different measure - a live comparison against the prior session and a week earlier, optionally limited to near expiries - and has no region-wide form.

Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.

Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
