Corporate actions

API Enterprise

Region-wide corporate-action events over a date window. One request returns the typed corporate-action feed — splits, dividends, M&A deals, spin-offs, buyback programs, index constituent changes and lock-up expiries — for every listing in the requested region, the same rows the single-stock corporate actions endpoint serves.

Built for enterprise consumers: the response is uncharged (no credits), and every row carries the full instrument-identity block so it can be joined straight onto your own security master.

Region and window

Use region to select the universe (a region name, an ISO-2 country code, or ALL; defaults to US). from_date (required) and to_date (defaults to today) bound the event-date window, which may span at most 366 days; types selects a comma-separated subset of action types (omitted: every type, reported as types: null in scope). Results are ordered by event date, most recent first.

Which listing an event belongs to

Splits and dividends belong to the listing they were recorded against, and appear for every listing in the region - including an in-region secondary listing of a company listed primarily elsewhere. Deals, spin-offs, buyback programs, index changes and lock-up expiries are company events: each is reported once per participating company (a deal between two companies in the region appears twice), against one listing of that company, and only when that listing is in the requested region: its primary listing; failing that, an active listing of its primary security; failing that, any active listing; and for a company that has delisted, its last primary listing. So a company listed primarily outside the region shows its in-region listing's splits and dividends here but not its company events. The single-stock endpoint reports company events against whichever of the company's listings you ask for.

Identity and coverage

Events ORTEX could not match to a listing are not included: a row with no listing has no country to place it in a region by, so the feed is limited to well-mapped issuers. Delisted listings are included, but every row's identity columns (company name, ticker, ISIN and the ORTEX ids) are the listing's current values rather than those it carried on the event's date; ISIN is null where the listing no longer has an active ISIN.

Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.

Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
