API Enterprise
Region-wide share capital for a single date. One request returns, for every covered listing in the requested region, the total shares outstanding alongside the portion that trades freely — so you can size positions and compute float-based ratios across a whole market without a per-ticker fan-out.
Share counts are reported as they stood on the snapshot date, not restated for later splits, so a row is on the same basis as the per-stock free-float endpoint called with split_adjusted=false. The figures can still differ slightly: this snapshot is built from the daily short-interest dataset's float source, the per-stock series from ORTEX's change-point float history.
Built for enterprise consumers: the response is uncharged (no credits), and every row carries the full instrument-identity block so it can be joined straight onto your own security master.

Region and date
Use region to select the universe (a region name, an ISO-2 country code, or "ALL"; defaults to US) and date to select the snapshot day (defaults to the latest available). A date the daily dataset was not published for (a weekend or market holiday) returns an empty result with meta.emptyReason rather than rolling back to an earlier day.
Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.
Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
