API Enterprise
Every exchange-traded fund position in a stock over a date window: one row per fund per holdings file that contains the stock, oldest date first, with each position as a percentage of the stock's shares outstanding.
Rows are dated by the fund's own file, so funds that publish daily appear every day and a fund that publishes quarterly (SEC N-PORT) appears on its quarter ends. Only the file in force for each date is served. Uncharged.
Available Data Points:
- As Of Date: The holdings date of the fund's file the position comes from (
YYYY-MM-DD). - Ortex Fund Id: ORTEX's stable id for the fund; join to the ETF funds catalog on it.
- Ticker: The fund's ticker.
- ISIN: The fund's ISIN.
- Fund Name: The fund's name as the issuer publishes it.
- Shares: Shares of the stock the fund holds, as its file states them.
- Market Value: Market value of the position in the fund's reporting currency.
- Weight: The position as a fraction of the fund (0.0712 is 7.12%).
- Pct Shares Outstanding: The fund's shares as a percentage of the stock's shares outstanding on the file's date (as-was, not split-adjusted); null where ORTEX holds no share count for the stock.
- Share Classes: How many other listed share classes of the same fund this row stands for (they hold the same basket and are not listed separately); 0 for a fund with none.
- Data Source: The issuer or exchange adapter that fetched the file.
- Fetched At: When ORTEX's archive received the file (ISO 8601, UTC).
- Exchange: The fund's listing venue as the issuer states it.
- Country: The fund's listing country (ISO-2).
Which lines count
A fund holds the stock when a line of its holdings file was matched to this listing by ORTEX (by ISIN, or by ticker and venue). Lines ORTEX could not match are not attributed to any stock, so a fund can hold a stock that this endpoint does not list; nothing is guessed. One row per fund: the share classes of a fund (accumulating and distributing, hedged and unhedged lines) hold the same basket, so they are folded into one row and counted in shareClasses. Each class still answers the holdings endpoints by its own id.
No total row
The response has no per-date total across funds: sum shares by asOfDate for the funds that publish daily. Funds report on different dates, so a total over every row of a date would mix daily and quarterly baskets.
Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.
Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
