API Enterprise
Company logos and public-figure portraits, ready to drop into your own product. ORTEX maintains a curated, continuously refreshed library of logos for the companies in its universe and portraits for the people behind the filings - members of Congress, senior executives, judges, activist investors and corporate insiders - and serves them from a global edge network built for pages that render hundreds of them at once.
This endpoint issues the token your pages use to load those images. Call it from your server with your enterprise API key, put the token on the image URLs your pages render, and every logo and portrait ORTEX holds is one tag away. Tokens live for up to an hour and are attributed to your account, so your key never leaves your server and nothing long-lived ever sits in a page.
Available Data Points:
- Token: The bearer token. Append it to image URLs as ?t=
, or send it as an X-Logos-Token header. - Expires At: When the token stops working. Mint a fresh one before then - once per page view, or once every few minutes shared across a session; both work.
- TTL: Seconds the token is valid for, as granted.
- Base URL: The logo service origin. Every image URL starts with this.
- Example URL: A working image URL with this token attached, so you can see the shape end to end.
Addressing a company
Ask for a logo by any identifier you already hold: ISIN, ticker with exchange (AAPL:XNAS), FIGI, CIK, LEI, company website domain or the ORTEX security id (ortex_sid, the same id the v11 API uses). The shape is {base_url}/v1/company/{scheme}/{value}/{variant}.png - for example /v1/company/isin/US0378331005/rect.png for Apple's rectangular mark, or /v1/company/ticker/AAPL:XNAS/square/64.png for a 64-pixel square. Add ?theme=dark or ?theme=light and the service picks the artwork that reads best on that background; the response headers tell you which background each image needs and where it is legible.
Addressing a person
Portraits are addressed by a real identifier where one exists - a CIK for an insider, a bioguide id for a member of Congress - or by name: /v1/person/name/nancy-pelosi/portrait.jpg. A name shared by several people can be narrowed to a category (congress, executive, judicial, activist, insider) or to a company - /v1/person/name/john-smith/portrait.jpg?company=isin/US0378331005 returns the John Smith who is an officer, director or insider of that company.
Built for pages
Images are served from a global edge cache with long-lived caching headers, so a page rendering a full index of logos loads them in one round trip each and re-visits are instant. Every response carries the entity it resolved to and the version of the artwork, so you can pin a version or detect a refresh. Server-side rendering works the same way: fetch the same URLs from your backend with your API key in an X-Api-Key header instead of a token.
Coverage
Over 200,000 companies across every market ORTEX covers, refreshed continuously from company sources, with light and dark variants generated where the original artwork needs them. Portraits cover the full congressional, executive-branch and judicial disclosure populations and a growing set of activist investors and corporate insiders. Tell us which companies or people matter most to you and they are prioritised.
Paid key required: These endpoints act on universes owned by your ORTEX account, so the TEST trial key cannot be used with them — a request carrying it is rejected with 403 insufficientSubscription.
