Insider Coverage

API TraderAPI QuantAPI Developer

What each official insider source publishes and how much of it ORTEX holds - the profile to read before comparing two markets, because they do not report the same things.

One row per source. The shares are measured on the last twelve months of rows, so they describe the market as it is now rather than the whole archive.

The 2iQ history appears as one source per market (2iq_, publisher 2iQ, provenance licensed, served raw because ORTEX owns it). Its cadence says the feed has ended and its last date is where that market's 2iQ coverage stops; for a market with no venue row, that is where ORTEX's coverage of it stops.

Available Data Points:

  • Source Code / Country / Name / Publisher: The venue and the regulator or exchange behind it.
  • Provenance / Served Raw: public_sector, commercial_site or licensed, and whether rows from it appear in the transactions and holdings endpoints (public_sector sources and the owned 2iQ history do).
  • Rolling Window / Blocked On: Where the venue deletes its own history, how much it keeps; where a source cannot run yet, why.
  • First Date / Last Date / Rows Total / Rows Last Year: The span and depth ORTEX holds.
  • Mapped / Priced / Sized / Named / Dated / Full Evidence Share: Percent of last-year rows resolved to a listing, carrying a unit price, a share count, an insider name, a transaction date, and meeting all of those at once.
  • Holdings Total / Holdings Last Date: Stated positions held from this source, and the latest.

Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.

Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
