Analyst consensus estimates for a single stock over a date window: for each weekday, the consensus EPS, revenue and EBITDA for each forward forecast period as it stood that day. Weekends carry no rows (consensus is observed on weekdays); a weekday on which no estimate was revised repeats the previous one's consensus, so the series is dense and a change can be read off by comparing consecutive dates.
A response holds several rows per date, one per forward period - up to four fiscal years, eight fiscal quarters and four calendar years. Every row states its period on both the fiscal and the calendar basis, because the two disagree for most companies: the quarter ending 31 December 2026 is Apple's fiscal FY27 Q1 and Microsoft's fiscal FY27 Q2. Use the calendar columns to compare across companies and the fiscal ones to line up against a company's own reporting; the period end date is the unambiguous key either way.
Available Data Points:
- Date: The date the consensus is as of. (
YYYY-MM-DDformat). - Period Type: annual (fiscal year), quarterly (fiscal quarter) or calendar_year (calendarised).
- Period End Date: The last day of the forecast period.
- Fiscal Year / Quarter: The period on the company's own fiscal calendar.
- Calendar Year / Quarter: The period on the calendar, for cross-company comparison.
- Currency: The currency the estimates are quoted in.
- Estimate As Of: When the vendor last recalculated this consensus.

Period type
Use period_type to return one period basis - annual, quarterly or calendar_year - or omit it for all three. Every row says which it is.
Window
The date window may span at most 366 days; a longer one is rejected with 400 invalidDateRange. Page through a longer history with consecutive windows.
Coverage
Analyst coverage thins with distance: expect 20-40 contributors on the next one or two fiscal years and a handful by the fourth. A statistic is null where the vendor publishes none for that period rather than being fabricated from too few inputs. Calendarised rows for companies whose fiscal year ends far from December are blended from two fiscal years by the vendor and carry no single contributor count.
Source
Consensus is compiled by S&P Capital IQ from contributing broker estimates and captured here daily. Values are the vendor's, scaled to absolute units; the date is when they were observed, which is what makes a point-in-time request possible.
Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.
Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
