API Enterprise
Follow a company's total market value day by day. Market capitalisation is reported in the instrument's own trading currency and, where an exchange rate is available, converted to US dollars so you can compare listings across markets on one scale.
Market cap needs no split adjustment. A split multiplies the share count and divides the price by the same factor, so the value they multiply out to is unchanged and a figure from before a split is already comparable with a current one.
Available Data Points:
- Date: The trading date for the market cap. (
YYYY-MM-DDformat). - Market Cap: Total market value in the instrument's local trading currency.
- Market Cap USD: Total market value converted to US dollars. Null when no exchange rate was available for that date.
- Currency: ISO code of the local trading currency that Market Cap is quoted in.
Try it out! You can test the API with the trial key TEST. Simply include it in your request headers; either here, or add the header "Ortex-Api-Key": "TEST" to your http request.
Trial key restrictions: Trial keys may be limited to a specific date range and set of regions. Requests outside the allowed regions or entirely outside the allowed date range are rejected; a date window that partially overlaps the allowed range is trimmed to it, reported in meta.restriction.
