Short Availability

Unlock a detailed view of short availability. This endpoint provides rich and actionable insights into how many shares are available to borrow for short selling, helping assess market liquidity and borrowing pressure.

Available Data Points:

• Date: The specific date for which the data is retrieved (YYYY-MM-DD format).
• Operating MIC: The operating Market Identifier Code of the security.
• MIC: The Market Identifier Code (MIC) where the security is traded.
• Ticker: The ticker symbol of the security.
• ISIN: The International Securities Identification Number for the security.
• Company: The name of the company issuing the security.
• Ortex Company ID: Unique id for a company.
• Ortex Security ID: Unique id for a security issued by a company.
• Ortex Tradable item ID: Unique id for a listing of a security.
• Availability Shares: An estimate of how many shares are currently available to borrow for shorting.
• Availability Percentage of Short Interest: The availability shares expressed as a percentage of total estimated short interest, indicating potential borrow supply relative to demand.
