US Government Trades

All three branches of US government in one feed, within a minute of publication, paper filings included.

Know what US lawmakers, senior officials and federal judges are buying and selling, within a minute of the disclosure being published. ORTEX reads every periodic transaction report filed by members of Congress, by Senate-confirmed officials in the executive branch and by federal judges and Supreme Court justices, including the scanned and handwritten filings most feeds never see. Each trade is matched to its stock and its filer, and links back to the filing it came from.

At a glance

  • 3 branches: legislative, executive, judicial
  • 148,000+ government trades on file
  • 27,000 trades in the last 12 months
  • < 1 min from publication to the ORTEX feed

1 in 4 congressional trades in the ORTEX feed came from a paper or scanned filing. For the executive branch it is two in three. Feeds that read only digital filings miss them.

32,700 of 129,000 congressional trades and 9,200 of 14,100 executive-branch trades, November 2026.

What you can do with it

  • Signal research. Trades by members of the committees that regulate a sector, dated to disclosure.
  • Platforms and media. Engaging, verifiable content for retail brokers, apps and publishers.
  • Monitoring. Every trade by a member, an official, a judge or a committee, in one query.

Every branch, within a minute

Legislative, executive and judicial through one feed, with the paper filings included.

  • Congress. Periodic transaction reports from every member of the House and Senate across the full disclosure era: 129,000 trades from more than 450 members.
  • Executive branch. Cabinet members, agency heads, Federal Reserve governors and other Senate-confirmed officials who file periodic transaction reports: 14,100 trades.
  • Paper filings included. Scanned and handwritten reports are read and matched like any other, so a member who files by hand is as visible as one who files online.
  • Judiciary. Federal judges and the Supreme Court, from the disclosures the Courthouse Ethics and Transparency Act opened to the public in 2022: 3,500 trades in the last 12 months from more than 250 judges.
  • Everything on the row. Ticker, transaction and report date, disclosed amount band, buy or sell, the filer's party, chamber and committees, and a link to the filing.
  • Within a minute. Every branch is in the feed within a minute of the disclosure being published, so a filing made during the session is tradable during the session.

Why ORTEX

Most government-trading feeds stop at Congress and at digital filings. ORTEX covers all three branches, is in the feed within a minute of publication, and reads the paper filings, which make up one in four congressional trades and two in three executive ones.
